With the Expedition 75:95 Backpack, Lowe Alpine found the sweet spot between clean, simple design and thoughtful extras, creating a workhorse of a pack that's incredibly well-equipped without being annoyingly complex. The single main compartment is accessible from the top, and there are side and hip belt pockets, too, for easy access to water, snacks, maps, and small trail gear. Like all of Lowe's top-shelf, large-volume packs, the Expedition uses the adjustable Axiom 7 Back System, which lets you dial in the right fit for different torso lengths, and features a vented, padded, and anatomically shaped back panel, along with a rotating hip belt and sprung steel frame for serious lightness, flexibility, and support. When you're on the trail for extended periods, you never know what you're going to run into, so Lowe made sure the Expedition's ready for whatever you happen across. Most impressively, it sports a removable hydration pack with enough room for an extra layer and some small gear, so you can head out day hikes from basecamp without toting your whole load. When you do have the full pack, you'll be able to stash, hook, and clip your tools into the stowable ice axe loops, gear and haul loops, and trekking pole tip gripper loops, and if (or when, really) it rains, it's no big deal, because there's a raincover included.
