In just a few quick minutes, you'll be cooking dinner or lounging by the river. The durable poles are made using a process that recycles wastewater while doing away with two toxic chemicals traditionally used in pole manufacturing. The Seedhouse SL1's tent body, meanwhile, is made of a lightweight nylon and polyester mesh that packs extremely light. When you're camping on a fair weather evening, the mesh body makes a well-ventilated bug-free haven. Should the weather turn foul, however, you can put on the lightweight silicone-treated nylon ripstop fly, which is coated with 1,200mm waterproof polyurethane. Space-wise, the Seedhouse SL1 offers 22 square feet of living area, enough room for one camper and gear. The tent sports another 5 square feet under its front vestibule, which includes a storm flap over the zipper for added weather protection. You even have a place to store your iPod, cell phone, wallet, or other items thanks to the mesh pocket located above the D-shaped door. Other features include a lightweight silicone-treated nylon ripstop floor with a waterproof polyurethane coating; a generous center height of 3 feet 2 inches (far taller than most bivy tents); a reflective guyline and reflective webbing on the tent corners for nighttime visibility; and 11 superlight aluminum J stakes. The tent is compatible with such additional accessories as a specially designed Seedhouse SL1 footprint and a Triangle gear loft. Both accessories are sold separately.

Big Agnes is either a rocky peak in the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness Area outside of Colorado's Steamboat Springs, a laid-back mountain-town mama, or dependable backcountry gear, depending on whom you ask. The Big Agnes founders think it represents a little bit of each and everything in between. The folks at Big Agnes have spent a lot of time in the Colorado backcountry, giving them a deep appreciation of local history, places, peaks, and rivers. From the Cross Mountain, named after a Yampa River canyon known for classic Class IV/V whitewater, to the Encampment, one of the country's most scenic wilderness river runs, to more obvious choices like the Divide Series, the company names its products after some of the most fascinating landmarks in the region. The spring runoff near Steamboat is also pretty spectacular, so Big Agnes included a few favorite creeks to its name directory, including Sarvis, Deep, Mad, and Lost Dog. The fun product names complement a full catalog of well-constructed outdoor products, which include sleeping bags, tents, pads, duffels, and camping accessories.
