E-Glide has been building, servicing, and shipping custom powerboards for over ten years. Our powerboards are built one at a time in our Santa Monica, CA shop.
Our Aluminum GT has been in production for three years, and is the most powerful electric skateboard offered commercially. A lot of companies tout their products as “fastest”, or “most powerful”, this is the real deal. It has become our best selling powerboard. ELECTRONICS The enormous power that the AT generates is a result of our European “industrial grade” electronics manufactured for us by PG Drives Technologies, mated to a high output 800 watt, 36 volt motor. The motor controller kicks out 70 amps of power. These are the most powerful and reliable motor controllers (electronics) ever offered on an electric skateboard. They are so reliable they come with a full, non- pro rated, one year warranty. No other electric skateboard offers electronics as powerful, as proven, of this quality, or with this kind of warranty! The result is a powerboard with the fastest acceleration, 0-24 mph in four seconds, highest torque, and highest top speed of any electric skateboard offered today. BRAKING Powerful regenerative braking will stop you quickly.
Stealthy quiet with belt drive, this machine is not for the squeamish. We had to fit a high/low switch on it, and most will never ride it on "high power". ALUMINUM DECK/BATTERY BOX The GT deck is made from .25 inch thick 6061 US made plate aluminum. Each deck is laser cut and perfect concave is added by hydraulic pressing. Edges are radiused. This “dropped deck” design provides the “flex” which many powerboarders desire, along with a low center of gravity for stability. The all aluminum GT will provide you with many years of reliable service. TIRES The GT comes equipped with all terrain Kenda 9 inch “turf” tread tires Kenda tires are in a class by themselves. They can be used on grass, dirt, gravel, hard packed sand, concrete or asphalt. BATTERIES We now use a special Electric Vehicle battery on all AT’s This is a high output, long life, SLA battery manufactured for us by B & B Battery company. These units, often used in golf carts, will provide an honest 15 mile plus range on flats, and will last for years if maintained. They are the most reliable battery we have experienced in ten years of building powerboards. They are much more reliable than any lithium we have used.
