This listing is for a handsome plantation saddle custom made by the John Fike Saddle Company in Bradford, Ohio. The saddle belonged to a judge in Southern Ohio who rode Tennessee Walking Horses. The saddle has a deep seat, full fenders, stirrup covers, fly tails on both stirrups, and extra long latigos on all four corners. The seat has intricate quilting. The left stirrup fender has the name "John Pack" stamped in the leather - this can be rubbed off if needed. The saddle measures 19" from center of pommel to top of cantle. It measures 21" from side of pommel (at the latigo ring) to center of cantle top. The fenders are 14 1/2" wide. The trees measure +/- 17" long. The serial number for the saddle is 129109.The overall condition is excellent. There is nothing broken or repaired. The tree feels sound. The leather has minor scuffs and rubs from handling and riding. The worse wear is the underside from the horse sweat. The color is a very dark red-brown (almost black). I believe this is "Havanna" color. The saddle does NOT have a girth. The rack and pad are not included. The saddle weighs approximately 28 pounds. I can either ship Priority, UPS Ground or local pick up. I offer a two-week return policy if you feel that I have misrepresented the description of the saddle. I will not accept the saddle back is worn, damaged or dirty. Please contact me with questions. Thanks for looking!
