The Exped Mega Mat 7.5 LXW is a superb self-inflating sleeping mat that has to be the first choice when your priorities are size, comfort and warmth rather than merely keeping your kit as light as possible. The 7.5-cm thickness of the inflated mat with its integral open-cell polyurethane foam really does mean that you will feel like you are floating on air. The mat is self-inflating but a mini pump is provided to achieve the final few degrees of inflation that produces this mat's edge-to-edge level sleeping surface. Also included is a convenient pack sack as well as a couple kit that enables you to attach a pair of mats together for two people to share. The honeycomb embossing of the top surface of the Exped Self-Inflating Mega Mat 7.5 LXW provides a grippy surface to avoid the tendency of the sleeping bag to slip off the mat. When required, a one-way valve provides fuss-free deflation.
