Haglofs Ridge II GORE-TEX Walking Shoe Tackle the Trail in Style
A waterproof and lightweight trail walking shoe made from soft and comfortable leather. Developed in cooperation with ASICS.
Oiled Nubuck Upper The shoe's upper comprises a water-repellent 1.6 to 1.8 mm oiled Nubuck that both reinforces and protect its construction. The oiled leather is durable and retains abrasion resistant properties that reduce wear and tear to the upper. It coincides with a optimum protection toe cap and reinforcement in the rubber heel area. The merged materials act as a abrasion resistant barrier that acts upon rocks and roots, diminishing there effect to further reduce wear and tear upon the construction. This also gives an extension of life to the boot. On the interior, an integrated GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining intelligently allows air to permeate the shoe, whilst offering excellent water-repellency and temperature management. The Gore-Tex Membrane is an extremely thin layer of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene that has over 9 billion pores per square inch. It's these pores that give the GORE-TEX® fabric its waterproof and breathable characteristics. SpEVA compound Midsole The Haglof Ridge II offers ideal comfort and support, and is perfect for scrambling or via ferrata. They have a slightly lower design with a stable, yet light midsole, for increased comfort during longer expeditions. The midsole consists of a SpEVA compound, Ethylene-vinyl acetate, which is a polymer that has excellent stress and impact resistance properties. It cushions the foot through foot fall, aiding protection to the underfoot and arch from impact shock and guiding the foot back out from the gait cycle with optimal stability and low weight. The SpeVa Midsole technology also improves bounce back characteristics and decreases midsole breakdown when running. Some of the features that provides this technology are: Better shock attenuation and improves durability throughout your trek. Haglofs Custom Comfort has been implemented throughout the footbed to offer superior comfort and cushioning, ensuring that on any surface, your feet remain protected and comfortable. The midsole also features GEL® rearfoot cushioning for good shock absorption and a I.G.S® Impact Guidance System allows the foot to perform in a more natural manner. Asics Hike Wet Grip Outsole The outsole for the Ridge II utilises Asics Hike Wet Grip compound. The sticky rubber has been used across the outsole to offer superior traction, rugged longevity and optimal ground adaptability. The Wet Grip Rubber with rice husk also allows for improved grip in wet conditions and stabilisation on an array of uneven surfaces and terrains. Also embedded into the outsole, a Stablelite ESS chassis sits under the arch, reducing strain on the metatarsal heads and fascia band for stability and torsion control.
