Pure gray cast iron and pre-seasoned with flaxseed oil, our roasters and dutch ovens are 100% safe for cooking. Well cared-for cast iron Roasters and Dutch Ovens last long enough to be handed down for generations. Our Cast Iron Oval Roaster has a flat bottom and can be used either indoors or outdoors. The lid has a traditional handle and a raised rim to allow the banking of hot coals on top for outdoor cooking as a Dutch Oven. The lid is reversible to provide a self-basting underside for moist, tender meats. Reversed, the top can also be used as an additional cooking surface. Double carrying handles add stability when moving the roaster from the fire.Please handle this pot with care. It is very heavy at 63 lbs EMPTY.

Equal measures of Coke (not diet) and Catsup, enough to coat chicken well. Lay chicken in Roaster or Dutch Oven. Salt and Pepper to taste. Mix Coke and catsup. Pour over chicken. Cook at medium heat (350 degrees) for about 1½ hours.
