Description Brand: Garmin Features: 5MP Autofocus camera With Automatic Geotagging, 2.6" 65K Color Display, Worldwide Basemap With Shaded Relief, High Sensitivity Quad-helix Antenna GPS Receiver, Wireless Sharing Enabled, Altimeter, Barometer, Timer, Waterproof Model: GPSMap 62sc Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Type: GPS
This is bar none the best handheld GPS you can buy, and it's absolutely ideal for anyone that spends time in the outdoors, traveling, hunting/fishing, exploring, geocaching, etc. That said, it also works great if you need to navigate city streets in unfamiliar places too and has databases that can help you find gas stations, ATMs, hospitals, hotels, etc. This GPS has everything you need, unlike many of the lower end models where you'll compromise quality/functionality for less money (i.e. this camera actually takes better pictures than a 2003 flip phone). It does everything your cell phone can't--it's tough as nails, you can pick up a signal literally anywhere (and hold it unlike lower end handheld gps's), and you can see the screen in broad daylight (this is a big deal trust me). It comes with rechargeable AA batteries and universal charger, and it'll go days on a single charge if you're not staring at the screen for 12 hours at a time. One of the best qualities is it's waterproof, so hook it to the top of your kayak for easy camera access or use it in a downpour and you're good to go unlike that cute little IPhone. This thing is limitless. I got it for an assignment in East Africa, and when I turned it on, I could watch it track my trip over the whole continent from the airplane! The geotagging feature is amazing because you can basically build a map with your pictures attached to each location you need to mark and you never have to label anything. List price on Amazon is $539, but I'm cleaning house to pick up a new camera lens, so get it while it's hot! It has some minor scratches on the screen, but if you're using it the right way, you can expect a few scuffs here and there. You can't even tell once you turn it on anyway. A few other features: Tide tables Sun/moon time tables (rise set full new etc.) Hunting/fishing calendars Comes with: GARMIN GPS w/Camera (There are other versions available of this model but this is the top tier because it has all the functions the others do AND the camera) 2 rechargeable AA batteries (16hrs battery life if you're using it constantly) Garmin charger with universal outlet adapters Belt clip and Garmin carabiner Xtra Long USB cord for computer syncing Not included: original box/instruction manual -all manuals available on Garmin's Website
This is a steal. Happy bidding
