Just released from Jimmy tarps, the Alpine Basin, UL 20 ounce shelter. I designed this shelter to be used from early spring backpacking clear through late fall or winter use. The Alpine basin is a true 4 season shelter. In hot weather you can control ventilation by unzipping both the front and rear doors for cross ventilation. As the weather changes or gets colder you can close the shelter down and even fire up a wood stove in the alpine basin. The alpine basin is a 2-4 person floorles shelter that comes standard with a silconized wood stove jack. The Alpine Basin is made from Generation 2 sil-poly. Set up dimensions of the alpine basin are 48" high at the front 31" high at the rear, 7' wide at the front tapering down to 55" wide at the rear, and 10' long door to door. Features include full double zipper front and rear doors, interior clothes line loops, all needed guylines are included.This shelter will easily sleep 2-3 plus all your gear or 4 in a pinch. ALL YOU NEED ARE TWO TREKKING POLES AND MINIMUM 8 STAKES FOR SETUP TO MAXIMUM 20 STAKES FOR TOTAL GUY OUT PROTECTION. all guy outs are reinforced with X-Pac, front and rear pole boots are made from X-Pac and reinforced on the top and rear with X-Pac. We only use Gutterman mara 70 thread and Generation 2 hybrid sil-poly material. All Jimmy tarps are made right here in Oregon with the best quality materials.. Currently color choices are, coyote brown Khaki, Tea Green, Grey, Foliage green.
